MEET YOUR DIRECTORS

Hi, I’m Lindy Edwards, co-director and one of the coaches at Sakura Volleyball. Volleyball has been a lifelong passion of mine, both as a player and now as a coach. I’ve spent years playing and coaching at the club level, and each season reminds me why I love this sport so much. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork.
Sports have always been a major part of my life. They’ve taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work which are lessons I strive to pass on to my players. As a coach, I lead with positivity, high energy, and a commitment to development. I believe in pushing athletes to reach their potential while supporting them every step of the way.
My vision for Sakura Volleyball is to build more than just strong teams. Here, at Sakura, we are building a community. I want this club to be a place where athletes feel inspired, supported, and challenged, all while having fun and creating lifelong memories. I’m excited for what the future holds and grateful to be part of a program that’s offering opportunity for both boys and girls volleyball.

Hi, I’m Coach Phi-Long Le, co-director and one of the coaches at Sakura Volleyball. My journey in volleyball has been shaped by a genuine love for the game and a passion for helping others grow. I’ve spent years playing recreationally and coaching, and I bring a unique perspective to the court. My experiences as both a coach and a mentor have taught me that success in sports is about more than just skills, it's about connection, communication, and confidence.
In addition to coaching, I’m a business owner and work in the field of therapy for children. This background has shaped my coaching style, it has taught me to lead with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of how to connect with and support young athletes. My goal is to create an environment where every player feels seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
What excites me most about Sakura Volleyball is the opportunity to help build something meaningful. I want this club to be a place where athletes don’t just develop their volleyball skills, but also grow in confidence, character, and teamwork. I’m proud to be part of a leadership team that values both excellence and heart.
MEET YOUR COAChes

Hi, I'm Amylin Fajardo. I am a third-year Education major at UTSA who brings a strong passion for both teaching and volleyball to the Sakura community. I have a diverse playing background with five years of club and school experience, spending time as a setter, an opposite hitter, and most notably as a libero/defensive specialist. I continue to stay active in the sport by competing in indoor, sand, and grass volleyball leagues.
My coaching journey began in San Antonio, where I served as an assistant coach for a 13s National team during the 2023–2024 season. During that time, my team earned championship titles at both CTX Series #4 and the Lone Star Regional. In the 2024–2025 season, I served as the head coach of a 12s Regional team while also assistant coaching a 14s Regional team. My coaching expertise is defense. I take immense pride in developing skilled, confident liberos and defensive specialists.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in my love for teaching children and deep appreciation for the sport. I believes in hard work, perseverance, and creating an encouraging environment where athletes can grow both on and off the court. Above all, I am excited to share the joy and greatness of volleyball with every player I have the opportunity to work with.
